Coral

It is a stone of a special fascination.  There is no uniform opinion about the name. After some seem to derive from the Greek korallion "which means hard, but it may have its origins" Kura-halos "which means mermaid.

Coral, like Pearl, is an organic stone that lives in oceans and seas of the world, at depths ranging between three and three hundred feet, being met around Japan of Taiwan and around the Malaysian archipelago.  On its area of propagation must make mention that when we think of coral immediately think the Great Barrier Reef near Australia.

Description: It is generally red but in nature it has a wide range of colors and can find white coral, blue, black or gold. The black and golden corals are highly appreciated, but most rare are the blue.  The most expensive variety of coral is white with pink drops.
